My Life
How It Started
“I started writing early on at the age of twelve. I found myself listening to music and observing poetry and song structure. By senior year I was in choir class at La Quinta High School. It wasn’t until I was in my 20’s that the Ukulele was brought into the picture and voila the act was complete.”
More than just a musician…
Coachella Valley’s Ukulele Girl, recording at Melrose Studio in Palm Springs and two times Children’s Book Author my name is Lorna Louisa Adams. I am the Singer songwriter of “The Lorcal Album” which is soon to be released, hopefully by the end of the year. Which has great Desert talent being pulled together to create a full production project with Rock and Country influences.
The journey of life and transforming hardships into beauty is the theme of this album which resembles a diary near to my heart.
I have also found that creating Children’s Books are my personal escape from the pressures of adult life. My books are self- published and can be found on Amazon.com for paperback and Barnes&Nobel.com for hardcovers. I find it very important to bring joy and ethical stories to the youth (which I illustrate myself). Each project I work on is literature at its core either put to music or art, but it is the stories we hear when we are young that mold us into who we are as we grow older.

As a wildflower in personality, it both easy and hard to spot me around town. I enjoy the local music scene when I am not submerged in my own work. Socializing with the community is a big part of who I am and who I always plan to be. This picture was taken by a local photographer I know and love name Esther Sanchez at CV Brewery in Thousand Palms. Life is lovely when surrounded by good people.
